While living in Japan, Mary had the privilege of creating the illustrations for a book of Short Stories. Sam Cameron, a fellow English teacher, had organized The Millennium Short Story Writing Competition, 2000 for Japanese Junior High School Students. He then compiled 16 of the stories into a book, along with the illustrations below.
