| When I first saw an image of Mary's "Silent Scream", I was instantly drawn to its powerful abstract style, vibrant colours, and theme. I was delighted to hear that though the original had already been sold, Mary would happily provide me with a print of the painting. | Dear Mary, Stephen brought the portrait that you painted of Vivienne home last night. I was speechless when I saw it. It’s exquisite. I don’t know how you did it, but you managed to capture the essence of both children in each of their portraits – Theodore’s curiosity and excitement the day he discovered he could crawl, and Vivienne’s vibrancy and warmth, arms outstretched to embrace life. I do not have the words to fully articulate how much these portraits mean to me and our family. I don’t know how you could bear to part with them. They will hang in pride of place in our home to commemorate our precious children until Stephen and I are both old and gray, and one day when Theodore and Vivienne grow up they will claim them for their families.
